What Makes Ugly Cartoon Characters So Interesting?
There are many types of cartoons, but some of the most popular ones have been ugly characters cartoon. These characters may not be very beautiful, but they have a certain charm that makes them interesting to watch.
The Smurfs
The Smurfs are a fictional species of creatures with blue skin and small, round bodies. They live in mushroom houses and have a village with a leader named Papa Smurf. The Smurfs have their own language (called “Smurf Language”) and songs that they sing together to communicate with each other. The seven days of the week are named after various characters from this series: Monday is Peanut; Tuesday is Brainy; Wednesday is Clumsy; Thursday is Grouchy; Friday is Vanity Fair; Saturday has only one name which we’ll call him “Sandy” for now…and Sunday has no name at all!
The Simpsons
The Simpsons are a fictional family consisting of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie. They live at 742 Evergreen Terrace in the town of Springfield.
The show first began airing on April 19th, 1989 on Fox as part of their Sunday Morning line up with “The Tracey Ullman Show”. It has since become an American television staple and is currently in its 24th season (as of November 2018).
Rugrats
- Rugrats is an American animated television series created by Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó and Paul Germain for Nickelodeon. The series focuses on a group of toddlers, most prominently Tommy Pickles and his twin brother Dil.
- The show premiered on February 19, 1991[1] with “Tommy’s First Word”, which became the highest-rated debut episode in Nickelodeon history at the time.[2] It ran for six seasons until its cancellation in 1994,[3][4] with 129 episodes produced over its run.[5][6]
- The series follows the adventures of Chuckie Finster as he does what any other baby would do: play with toys,[7] eat food that he can’t pronounce correctly[8] or have fun![9].
Peter Griffin
Peter Griffin is the main protagonist of the American animated sitcom Family Guy. He is a lazy, unintelligent, obese, alcoholic and abusive blue-collar worker who is married to Lois Griffin and has two children Meg and Chris Griffin.
Peter’s name was inspired by actor Peter Sellers (1925–1980), who played a similar character in several films including Being There (1979).
Fred Flintstone
Fred Flintstone is the main character in The Flintstones, a fictional prehistoric sitcom which aired during prime time on ABC from 1960 to 1966. He is the husband of Wilma Flintstone and father of Pebbles Flintstone and Bamm-Bamm Rubble.
Fred’s best friend is Barney Rubble (who has no relation to Barney Rubble). Fred also has his own show called “The Flintstones” where he talks to them about all things prehistoric: dinosaurs with feathers instead of fur!
Olive Oyl
Olive Oyl is an animated character from the Popeye cartoon series. She is the girlfriend of Popeye the Sailor and lives in Wimbledon, London. She is skinny and tall with long black hair, brown eyes and wears a blue dress with a yellow belt.
Pink Panther
Pink Panther is the main character of the cartoon series, created by David DePatie and Friz Freleng in 1964. The name Pink Panther refers to his color – pink. In the United States, it was first released in 1966 as a comic book and then adapted into an animated cartoon series.
Pink Panther has become one of the most popular animated characters worldwide thanks to its witty humor and stylized design which features a panther head with black stripes on its face (the ears), wearing sunglasses with sunglasses over his eyes (as if he’s looking out from behind them)
