PreferenceActivity’s onPrepareOptionsMenu() callback

While developing a custom PreferenceActivity, I created a ContextMenu in the onPrepareOptionsMenu() callback of my PreferenceActivity. The trouble is that when I tried to call getContext().getResources().getDrawable(R.drawable.my_icon), I got a NPE.
Is there any way to solve this problem?

After calling getContext() in your activity, you’re going to get the wrong context. As the name suggests, the method getContext() gets the context of the current Activity and in the PreferenceActivity it’s usually null. To get the context of your PreferenceActivity you could do:
Activity activity = getActivity();
// Check for null if there isn’t one
Preference pref = (Preference) activity.findPreference(“key_of_your_preference”);

// If you’re not doing anything with the context
return (Activity) pref.getContext();

Javascript – Get an array from another array by text

I have two arrays of text
var firstArray = [1,2,3,4,5];
var secondArray = [“A”, “B”, “C”, “D”, “E”];

So for example i want to get the value 3 from the first array if it exists in the second array.
How can i do this?
I know i can do this with a for loop and for each function but it would be a lot slower.

Using some() function, you can filter the second array like this:
some(arr => arr.indexOf(1)!== -1)
