up_the_irons: one way to check for a specific file is to do find /media/hdd1/boot -iname *.bak -print0 | xargs -0 du -sh — *

how long should my fsck take to run?

spowers, trying to install to a partition that was on a broken drive. When it’s mounted it’s a ext4 and using crypt. When it’s not mounted it’s a Ext3 and I want to install to it.
