(I am NOT a chef!! I season everything by my spirit NOT cups and spoons so these measurements you can adjust according to your taste!! I’m telling you the minimum that I did that’s why you’ll see “or so”). Any of these seasonings you can swap out for what you prefer!! Season BOTH milk and flour with the same seasonings.
Clean oyster mushrooms by using a damp towel to wipe Clean. Put mushrooms in seasoned milk. Marinate your mushrooms for at least 30 mins in the seasoned milk. Basically you can use my seasoning suggestions or use any seasoning that you would use on your fried chicken. Again, be sure you season your flour and milk of choice with the same seasoning.
Fill your frying pan about half way with oil of choice, I used Grapeseed oil. Turn stove on medium heat. Remove all marinated mushrooms from seasoned milk and place into seasoned flour. Be sure mushrooms are fully coated( For double Fried mushrooms option: once removed from flour put back into milk then placed again into flour) Place mushrooms in your frying pan until golden brown on both sides. Once golden brown, Remove mushrooms from pan onto a paper towel lined plate to allow excess oil to drip of. Let cool of for a few minutes then enjoy!
